Merit Badges

Merit Badges are the second main area of the Boy Scout advancement program. A sub-group of merit badges are known as Eagle required merit badges. The online Merit Badge Application (link) is a Word doc file. Some Merit Badges Require Prior Approval (linkbefore starting certain requirements. Most do not.
 
Specifics about how to obtain Merit Badges along with a description of all Merit Badges (link) can be found at Boy Scouts of America.   Troop 533 has a library (link coming soon) containing most of the Merit Badge Pamphlets that are available for your use.  
 
For the 100th Anniversary celebration four vintage merit badges (link) are being released for the Centennial Year only, giving Boy Scouts the hands-on opportunity to experience the exciting past of Boy Scouts of America .
 
Merit Badge Counselors
